Biography

JOSÉ LUIS PÉREZ was appointed Manager of Security at the Central Bank of Chile as of December 2012.
 
He graduated as civil engineer with a major in civil engineering from the Andrés Bello University. He also received a master's degree in Business Management from the Adolfo Ibáñez University and a diploma for Operational Management from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. He is currently taking a course in private security at the Foreign Affairs Institute of the University of Chile.
 
Before his appointment as the Bank's Security Manager, Mr. Pérez worked in private sector companies in areas of operations, logistics and security and for the past 8 years he was Corporate Under-manager of Prosegur, being in charge of operational and commercial management of transport of securities, cash handling, ATMs, active security, alarms and technology, prior to which he was National Branch Operations Under-manager.
 
Mr. Pérez had previously held positions of responsibility in planning, operations and logistics in retail and food industries.
