Biography
CLAUDIO RADDATZ K. is the Director of the Financial Policy Division of the Central Bank of Chile since July 2025.
He holds a degree in Industrial Civil Engineering and a Master's degree in Engineering Sciences from the University of Chile, and a PhD in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He is currently Full Professor in the Department of Economics and Business Administration of the University of Chile.
He has a distinguished national and international track record in financial stability, regulation, and macroeconomic analysis. Between 2017 and 2019, he was head of the Global Financial Stability Analysis Division at the International Monetary Fund, and in 2020, he served as Advisor to the Principal Office of the Monetary and Capital Markets Department of the same organization.
Previous positions at the Central Bank of Chile include Director of the Financial Policy Division from 2014 to 2017, and Economic Research Manager from 2011 to 2014 Between 2003 and 2011 he worked as a Senior Economist at the World Bank.
