XXIX Annual Conference of the Central Bank of Chile

"Labor Markets and the Macroeconomy in a Changing World”

Lugar: Santiago, Chile, November 19–20, 2026.

This year, the Conference will address topics related to labor markets and the macroeconomy, with special attention to the challenges posed by a rapidly changing world. Among other subjects, papers will be presented on productivity dynamics in the labor market, discussing the potential impact of technological change associated with automation and artificial intelligence. Attention will also be given to improving the understanding of wage dynamics and employment transitions, as well as to discussing the possible effects that demographic change may have on the functioning of the labor market. The conference will bring together leading economists who will address these topics and discuss their macroeconomic implications. On this occasion, the keynote lecture will be delivered by Professor Richard Rogerson, from Princeton University.
