This publication deals with the benchmark compilation for the year 2003 of the Chilean economy’s national accounts, which is in line with the policy of regular revisions of the System of National Accounts. The main purpose of this new benchmak compilation is to define the weight of each macroeconomic aggregate in 2003, which will constitute the benchmark framework of the new annual and quarterly estimates of national accounts; in so doing the relative data on products and activities was displayed on supply-use charts, whereas data relative to institutional agents was arranged in integrated economic accounts.
