The consecutive denominations have high-contrast colors: the $1.000 banknote is green, the polymer $2.000 note is purple, the $5.000 note is red; the $10.000 note is blue and the $20.000 is brown.

As of the year 2006, all Chilean banknotes have tactile features located in the lower left corner on the front of the notes. These features are designed to help the visually impaired to recognize bank note denominations.
