María Inés Urbina D.

MARÍA INÉS URBINA D. is a Business Studies gaduate and Accountant Auditor of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. She also holds a Diploma in Contract Administration from the same university and has studied at the International Monetary Fund.

Before becoming Logistics Services Manager, she was Head of the Acquisition Department (September 2006 - February 2009) and responsible for the Bank’s Payments Unit.

Mrs. Urbina has an extensive career in the Central Bank of Chile having begun in September 1983 as Economic Analyst in the Research Department. She moved to the International Investment Management and later became adviser to the Commercial Policy and International Exchange Management, where she headed several projects of strategic importance associated with the Bank’s ongoing process of opening up the capital account.

She has taught at the Gabriela Mistral University and University of the Americas and has represented the Central Bank at various seminars.
