MARIO CHRISTIAN ULLOA LÓPEZ was appointed Strategic and Operational Risk Management of the Central Bank of Chile in July 2009.

He graduated as accountant and auditor from the University of Santiago and received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.

Mr. Ulloa was Head Auditor at the Central Bank from 2005 and had been General Inspector since 1996, after being appointed Head Auditor in 1992 and having worked as Head of the Administrative Operations Audit Department since 1990.

Prior to joining the Central Bank in July 1986, Mr. Ulloa had worked for four years as external consultant to Langton Clark (Ernst & Young), carrying out audits on various firms in the fields of finance, social security, insurance, mining, electricity and construction.

He is also a member of the Audit Committee of the Central Bank organized by the Monetary Studies Center for Latin America (Cemla) where he has been a speaker at their annual conferences. He has also been a consultant to the International Monetary Fund.
