Matias Bernier Borquez.

MATIAS BERNIER BORQUEZ is Domestic Market Manager since August 2010, previously he has held the position of Domestic Financial Market Manager, since May 2008. .

Mr. Bernier graduated as civil engineer of the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile in 1999.

From 2005 until his appointment to the Central Bank, he was head of Financial Planning under the Budget Division of the Ministry of Finance, and since 2007 he was a director of the Passenger Transport Company Metro S.A.

Mr. Bernier had previously worked for the Chilean oil company, (Compañía de Petróleos de Chile S.A.), where he began as Financial Analyst designing financial investment policy as well as other responsibilities and from 2004 to 2005 worked in the Supply Department where he handled fuel purchases, managed contracts and tenders and commercial relations proper to the oil industry.

In 2000 and 2001, he was head of Planning and Strategy at Impsat Chile S.A., responsible for setting up the company’s financial structure and working with top management on establishing the company in Chile.
